Note: 2009 CLD Outstanding Researcher Award Nominations are being sought:  To promote and recognize research in the field, CLD annually presents an award for an outstanding manuscript-length paper on learning disabilities that is based on a doctoral dissertation completed in the last five years.  The winner will be recognized at the J. Lee Wiederholt Distinguished Lecture, Saturday, October 3rd, 2009. Click here for details.

The Response to Intervention Teaching Learning Connections is a special project funded by the State of Florida, Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional and Student Services (BEESS), through federal assistance under IDEA, Part B. This special project is designed to collaboratively identify, disseminate, and facilitate high fidelity implementation of current and emerging research-based instructional practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, especially in early literacy, adolescent literacy, and mathematics, within the framework of RTI. ANNOUNCING NRCLD
A national research center, a joint project of researchers at Vanderbilt University and the University of Kansas, has been established to address the complex array of issues facing the learning disabilities field. The National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) received a five-year, $3.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs. Co-directors of the new center are Dan Reschly, chair of the Department of Special Education at Peabody College, Vanderbilt; Doug Fuchs, special education professor at Peabody College; and Donald D.
